Timothy Brown is a multidisciplinary artist based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Brown graduated from Brandon University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in 2017. His work has focused on identity in the face of grief, trauma, and control. However, the past few years has seen a shift in theme and medium as Brown explores isolation, intangibility, modulation, and connection within large systems. Brown works with a wide variety of mediums which include installation, audio, video, pencil, ink, and more. He has worked as an art educator, program coordinator, co-curator, gallery coordinator, and has exhibited his work around Western Canada. Brown is a member of the Frost Shield Kerfuffle, a Winnipeg-based artist collective. He graduated from the Master of Fine Arts Program at the School of Art located on the University of Manitoba campus. Most recently, he attended the Banff Artist in Residency Early Career program in January, building a new body of work which includes interactive media.
